Who knows how many stars
must have passed since
I saw you
You looked so pale and felt so strange
to see you as if walking on the Moon
Totally disarmed and lonely
You talked to strangers in your head
And sent kisses to the stars
Wishing brightly for another planet
to dance by
And you learned to fly
with your old old heart
that it never felt old again
once tasted the sky
you still fly
You’re a starman
A starman on the Moon
Drop me a star
Make it strangely bright
Send me rain
Rain from the stars
Leave some dreams
In the morning
Sprinkle some sunshine dust
Dance my heart
with your strange star love
Hi Steve, how are you? I hope you are well and that you continue writting nice songs. My favorite song is "Beautiful",it brings me lovely memories. When I listen "Ocean Cloud" walking by the beach is almost my reallity. I kwow that soon you will be in a new concert. I'm really far away and I can't be there, but if the miracles happen maybe could be watching you
Kiss and good energy, Claudia
Hi. I read some notes and i think there're beautiful, some others sad and another ones melancholics. But when i heard and read your music is like "whoa, I see myself that way". I dream keep walking my way and giving good energy to all people near to me. I send you good energy to you Steve H.ππ. I hope see all you guys in a Marillion's concert. You are great and your voice is so lovely Steve. See you soon. Love, Claudia
I've been your fan Since I was five well that's a bit weird though, listening to prog at that age. My dream was to see you singing live but that was nearly impossible because I'm from Iran . Now I'm 26 and living in Germany and can't wait to see you in Hamburg.
I see Marillion are doing more London-centric gigs currently - any chance you could do a gig where I live - Exeter? there's a lovely venue called Exeter Phoenix (capacity 500 standing, Fish has played there few times) which would be awesome. Any chance Lucy can look into it. I don't think you've ever done a gig in Exeter and it would naturally sell out in a New York Minute. Hope you don't mind me asking. I was at one of your original H gigs at Shepherds Bush Hall, London and when you announced you were about to play "Ghost In You' P Furs I stood up and yelled 'Yeah'. I'll leave this request with you Mr H...
You will not guess what the snail brought to me...Yes Colours Not Found In Nature.Hurrah! The little elephant looks so unhelped and solitary!Lovely cover design! Your vocals are the most beautiful I've heard ever, and Isildurs Bane is a great band. Thanks a lot to all. This album is a masterpiece.
Tiau meu amigo,My Eternal Love.
I know Marillion since 1988 (i was 12 years old - really - it's very clear in my mind). I remember when you've made "Season's End", I see myself buying it in September 1989. 27 years later (the 23 of September 2016 - a good day for me, thank you), I received a link by mail to download "FEAR"... From "Season's End" to "FEAR", what a great work you've done. I should better say from "Season's End" to "Colours Not Found In Nature" (included "Ice Cream Genius" and "Not The Weapon But The Hand"). You are a great lyricist Steve (if you allow me to say that).
You've tried and you've touched.
Please take care of yourself and see you soon.
We met many moons ago in Oxford when you were having your hair styled. I happened to have Marillion.com in my laptop disk drive, which you kindly signed. Remain a huge Marillion fan. Have FEAR and also bought the hard copy from Fopp for the car. Completely brilliant album. wishing yourself and the band continued and well deserved success.
Hi Steve, a friend of mine called Emma is going through a bad patch with her sister who is terminally ill and looking after her elderly mother. She is the one who dropped your laptop computer in Germany. While you were overlooking the beautiful scenery sat on a wall. Would it be possible to organise an acoustic 10 minute session whenever you are playing in the UK backstage. She talks about no other band but marrilion . I know its unlikely but thought I'd ask. Hello mad world! Slightly overdue thanks to all who sent me birthday hugs whether here, Facebook, good old snail-mail or anywhere else. I am lucky beyond anything I could articulate, and God-knows I've tried. Who on earth do you think you are? A superstar? Well how right you are. We all shine on. One love. Everyone. h x
It´s really a gift and a blessing the fact that you were born on this planet to make this wonderful beautiful music and singing so passionately, on the same era as many of us who love you and will love you and your music forever. Thank you for being on this Earth, for being so beautiful, for writing such incredible songs, for singing so wildly passionate with such a beautiful voice. Happy birthday, dear H.
Dear Mr h,
some people were born to visit space and make fantastic journeys, some grow up to study law and practise as attorneys, some become big movie stars, whilst some are nine-to-fivers,..some are successful jounalists and some are race car drivers, some are pilots flying jets from London to Timbuktu,...but there is no one,who will ever be as wonderful (with such a unique voice) like you A very Happy Birthday Steve ,hope you enjoy your day ...by the way ,we really like your new album "Colours not found in nature" excellent job xx
Happy Happy day to you my friend! Always remember that ~ 'Nothing endures except change; nothing is constant except death. Every heartbeat wounds us, and life would be an eternal bleeding to death were it not for literature. It grants us what nature does not; a golden time that doesn't rust, a springtime that never wilts, cloudless happiness and eternal youth' Ludwig Borne
Happy Birthday Steve!! <3
Wishing you the very best of birthay's!
And thank you so much for two weekends of the strongest musical experiences of my life, not to mention the best atmosphere and love I've ever encountered in a crowd...
You give so much, may you recieve all that you deserve and more!
With love and respect, hugs from Norway <3
