Dear Steve, as you probably already know, violinist Stuart Gordon died on August 28th after a short illness. As I'm creating a page to remember him, I'd be deeply grateful if you could share some memories about him and about the "Ice Cream Genius" album recording sessions. Thanks

  Hi Steve,

Just finished your diary (1991-1997) and I'd like to thank you for publishing this breathtaking insight of your life on tour, what a trip ! Thank you Steve for putting your heart on your sleeve and delivering all these deep emotions on paper. I was particularly touched by your descriptions of leaving the house, wife & kids to go on tour with marillion ..this life that is yours is incredible ("you're spoiled") but it takes its toll sometimes... can't wait for vol 2..hope to see you sometimes in Paris when you tour again with marillion.

I cannot understand how in 21st century people still kill each other as they did when they were wild creatures..How one person can do whatever he wants and manipulate the masses and the World is helpless. We have seen it before not once.Just round the corner.Such shitty geographic location we have.. .
Everybody watching and expressing this and that but not doing anything real..We go on with our lives ...as individuals we have no influence on what happens but to be honest deep inside we are all terrified..
we have been having too good lives for too long....

  Hi Steve,

Hope you enjoyed Cropredy - the reviews sound good. Gutted I couldn't go!

Been listening to Somewhere Else the last few days and I always loved the album but hadn't played it in a while but what a cracking set of songs. I got the hairs on the back of the neck feeling when listening to Voice From the Past... what an incredible song and the lyrics are brilliant. I listen to an awful lot of different stuff but no other artist manages to make me feel the way your music does. Still after all these years :) Amazing. Thanks for that.

Look forward to the next volume of your diaries and the Oxford gig:)

Hugs x

  Dear Steve Hogarth :)

We are reaching out to musicians we respect and admire in the hope that we can do something excellent. Please do take a moment to give the below a read and get in touch if you are interested in being involved. We would love to have your music!

MUSICIANS, ARTISTS, CREATIVE PEOPLE.

Firstly, apologies for the wildly impersonal nature of this message it is just important that this falls in front of your eyes as quickly as possible. We need your help and we need your music.

Many of you are aware of the Israel/Palestine conflict and the horrific impact these attacks are having on the innocent citizens of Gaza. In the last 21 days over 1000 innocent people have been killed. This is not okay. Of these 1000 people almost 200 were helpless children. This is NOT okay. On top of this, 6000 more people have been wounded. These are not soldiers. These are not mere statistics. These are people like you and me people whose lives have been defined by the conflict with which they are unfairly surrounded a conflict that is not their fault.

We are not taking sides. The details of this argument are not important to us and we do not care who is right or wrong. We care that this needless bickering is costing innocent people their lives and harming thousands more. We care that blameless children are trapped in an environment so dangerous that the vast majority of us will never be unfortunate enough to experience anything like it. It is these people that need our help.

Currently, Red Cross staff and volunteers are working tirelessly to provide medical care, to bravely drive ambulances to those in urgent need, to repair water and sewage networks, and simply to support to those affected by these awful events. However, medical supplies are quickly running out and the strip's water pipelines are damaged. The Red Cross needs financial support to continue to with this bold, amazing and important effort, and this is why we are writing to you.

We a...
