Dear Steve, I am your big fan ever since.
The artistic evolution of Marillion owes much to your contribution, your voice and the strength of the songs lyrics.
Thanks for the many emotions that you have given me.

I'll wait for a new concert in Rome, only accompanied by a piano.
Forgive my terrible English.

See you soon.

  Dear Mr. h,

thank you so much for publishing your diaries. (Looking forward to Part II now.) What an interesting read, and it puts a lot of things into perspective. Made me have a look into my own old diaries (I only kept them around '92-'98)and it was funny to see what you did on date xy and what was going on in my life at the same time. So much has changed since then... but such is life, I guess.
You did such a fantastic job with that radio show recently! I enjoyed it to no end, really! Got a lot of inspiration from it (never heard of Curved Air before! Loved the song!) and I literally liked every song you played. Talk Talk - Happiness is easy... Sublime indeed! Those hours passed so quickly. I can't remember when I last enjoyed a radio show that much.
Thanks a lot, too, for your wonderful and energetic performance at (the oh sooo hot) Loreley. You guys were on fire and so was the audience. Great set, too, we all had a blast.
I'd like to wish you a fab time at Cropredy tomorrow (I'm pretty sad I can't make it, and I'll miss my dear Marillo "homies" a lot, but for once I have to clear my accounts), I'm sure it's going to be a great show. And, last but not least, enjoy your holidays (as I hope you're going to have a proper one.)

PS: Watching the news these days is a challenge that I can hardly take any more. I even stopped dreaming. Fact.

  Hi H
I'm loving your book and I wasn't surprised to find out that most of your gigs in Italy were messed up (from pag.52) by the poor management. I am so ashamed by my country...

By the way, I love "Power". I must have listened to it 200 times. Even my 4-years old kid the other day asked me "what is this song about daddy"?

Really enjoying the diary, essential summer reading! Really interested in your encounter with your 'spiritual guide' she did have some points though amongst the general awkwardness of the situation. You do seem to love France and are definitely spreading some spiritual love! Looking forward to the next instalment and hopefully a mention of the Burton brewery gigs...legendary nights!

  Dear Steve,

So sad that people keep on fighting instead of helping each other. Please whisper into hurricanes, don't underestimate the power of words. Small actions can create giant results. Raising awareness about this situation is helpfull, I'm sure!

I hope one day people will realize that we are all one.

There's only one country: earth.
There's only one people: mankind.
There is only one religion: love.

  Hi Steve!

I am really enjoying your diaries, perfect reading for semi-holiday whiles by the pool. I had followed your previously selected entries (website, h natural shows…) and now appreciate the whole lot as an exciting gift. It somehow satisfies an old fantasy of hiding as a stowaway in one of your flight cases or becoming an invisible voyeur presence in your tour bus, hotels and venues of course! The “Colours & Sound” DVD was by the way a fascinating experience in that respect. So I am looking forward to the second volume of the journal (hoping for references to the shows I attended!). Thank you Mr. H!!

P.S. Had a lot of fun (so did my kids) with the ‘Dinosaur Thing’ video. I didn’t even know it existed.

I have just read the mother's experience of war in Gaza (link posted by h this month) What can I say... Feel so helpless in my relative paradise...and can only hope the love and peace I send out to civilians in Gaza from my tiny pocket of reality reaches them and helps in some way. Hats off to you h for your 'campaigning'. Spread the word, send love and peace...The more that send the more goes around x

  Hi Steve,

Loved listening to you on the radio last weekend - great stuff! Cracking choices and also discovered stuff I hadn't really listened to before like Joni Mitchell and The Police track. Love Talk Talk and the Blue Nile with the awesome Jeff Buckley thrown in! Thanks for that :) I hope you do it again soon!

Gaza managed to sound even more incredible on the radio for some reason and I discovered bits I hadn't heard before. Great stuff and unfortunately very apt at the present time... sad times :(

Best wishes

Will x

  Dear Steve,

I don’t agree with you when you write: “At times like this, I feel that writing a song is like whispering into a hurricane.” Because like W. B. Yeats, your words may be terribly prophetic (“You sow the wind, you reap the whirlwind…”).
When reason of State crushes the Human Rights, it’s very hard to stop it. Of course, it’s a shame but it’s a tragic reality…
I’m with Jewish people when they march against the nationalist Hungarian government who wants to rewriting History and I’m against them when they murder more than thousand people in Gaza.
(Sorry for my bad English).

Finally I could make it and I am listening to you at the radio :). You have very good tastes, but I already knew that :).
Great selection! And I loved very much the song you played from Isildurs Bane, song that I didn´t know.
I am enjoying a lot, while chatting with some friends on Facebook who also are listening to you :)
Hope I can make it tomorrow, too!
